Job Responsibilities:
As a pre-school teaching assistant, your role is to provide valuable support to the lead teacher and create a nurturing and engaging learning environment for young children. Your responsibilities may include:
Assisting in Lesson Preparation: Help the lead teacher in preparing lesson materials, setting up the classroom, and organizing learning activities to create a conducive learning environment.
Supervising Children: Supervise children during classroom activities, playtime, and outdoor play to ensure their safety and well-being.
Supporting Classroom Management: Assist in maintaining discipline and order in the classroom, promoting positive behavior and encouraging cooperation among the children.
Providing One-on-One Support: Offer individual attention and support to children who may need extra help or encouragement in their learning and development.
Assisting with Instruction: Assist in delivering lessons, engaging children in educational activities, and providing explanations to reinforce the lead teacher's instructions.
Monitoring Progress: Observe and document children's progress, behavior, and achievements to share feedback with the lead teacher and parents.
Encouraging Creativity and Play: Encourage children to express themselves creatively through arts and crafts, imaginative play, and other interactive activities.
Clean the interior of the property before and after class, on a daily basis
Assisting with Daily Routines: Help with daily routines such as mealtime, bathroom breaks, and naptime to ensure a smooth and well-organized daily schedule.
Assisting with Record Keeping: Assist in maintaining attendance records, learning portfolios, and other administrative tasks as needed.
Collaborating with Parents: Work closely with parents and caregivers, providing updates on their child's progress and engaging them in their child's educational journey.
Participating in Professional Development: Take part in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in early childhood education.

Fluent in English and Sinahala
O level degree, preferably A level degree or specialised child care education
A love for entertaining children and keen to make it a full time job
Passion for holistic ways of living and an understanding of child development principles.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, parents, and fellow educators.
Interested to learn new things and adapt to new environments every day
Patience, compassion, and dedication to supporting the unique needs of each child.
